Ed DeWerff brings 20 years of courtroom experience and focused knowledge of the law to your legal matter. From his law office in Clarksville, he serves clients in the surrounding areas of Tennessee in criminal defense, personal injury and family law.
After serving in the military, Mr. DeWerff earned his law degree in 1989. He began his career in insurance defense, experience that provides beneficial insights as he battles insurers for full compensation on behalf of the injured.
He then spent three years as a prosecutor in the Montgomery County/Robertson County District Attorney's Office. That experience with police investigations and courtroom procedure is invaluable in working to protect the constitutional rights of the accused, negotiate lesser consequences or fight for his clients' freedom at trial. He has an impressive record of success in more than 80 jury trials on both sides of criminal law, including acquittals on first-degree murder charges.
